Luke Windsor’s temporary Utah office was very plain and only
consisted of uncomfortable wooden chairs.
Aislinn and Caitlin had been sitting there for almost three hours now,
trying to implement the first phase of Kelsey’s master plan to prove Tom’s
sincerity. Tom’s publicist was being
less than cooperative, however. Finally,
the secretary ushered them in to the make-shift office. Luke, a tallish man, was used to operating
out of their London offices, however he had followed Tom back to Utah in a vain
attempt to talk some sense into him and get him to go to Florida to prepare for
Avengers 2. “Hello ladies,” he said, civility decorating
his voice, “what can I do for you today?”
Aislinn glanced at Caitlin, reaching a mutual agreement that Caitlin should
explain the issue. Aislinn had come for
moral support – business was Caitlin’s area of expertise.
“Well,” Caitlin began, “we need to talk to you about Tom
Hiddleston. And our roommate Kelsey.” Luke, who a second ago had been distant and
uninterested, was now focused completely on them.
“What do you know about Kelsey and Tom?” he asked,
carefully.
“She is our roommate, and Tom recently returned to recapture
her affections. She is not sure about
his sincerity, so we are asking if you would be willing to help us prove the
truth of his affections.” Caitlin responded, all business.
“And why exactly would I want to help you?” he leaned back
in his chair, amused, “you do realize that I acted to break them up in the
first place. She is hardly ideal for his
image, you must understand.” The man’s contempt for them was irritating both
girls, however Aislinn, always the voice of reason, spoke up.
“Think about it. How
happy has Tom been since he left Kelsey?”
The publicist frowned. The girls
had a point. Tom had been a jerk and
ridiculously frustrating to work with over the last couple months. Caving, Luke
asked wearily,
“What exactly do you want me to do?”
